Hello everyone, I’m planning to assemble my new IKEA Platsa wardrobe in the next few days and am organizing my tools accordingly. To avoid unnecessary delays or problems during assembly, I’d like to know specifically: Which screwdrivers are needed for assembling the IKEA Platsa?
I have briefly looked through the instructions, but they only generally mention screwdrivers and possibly a hex key (Allen wrench). It would be helpful to know whether it’s best to have several different bit types on hand, or if usually just a Phillips screwdriver or a specific type is used.
Are there any special features of the screws – for example, particular sizes or uncommon types – that I should definitely have ready before starting the assembly?
I’m looking forward to your tips and experiences so I can choose my tools precisely and start the build smoothly.

And regarding the Allen key: What size exactly is that? Thanks for the hint! Looking at the manual, it actually says the Allen key is 4 mm (5/32 inches), so that seems to be the standard for the fasteners.
I had also thought about the PH2 as the standard screwdriver bit, but I wanted to make sure whether smaller sizes might also be used.
I think I will get a PH2 screwdriver, the included Allen key, and a small flathead screwdriver – that way I’ll be well prepared.
Does anyone else have tips on the sequence of steps or handling the screws used during assembly?
