Hello everyone, I am currently planning to assemble my new Pax wardrobe and have noticed that the various assembly instructions available online differ quite a bit in terms of clarity and level of detail. Therefore, my question to the community is: Which assembly guide for the IKEA Pax wardrobe do you personally find easiest to understand and why? I am especially interested in whether you find the official IKEA instructions more helpful or if you can recommend alternative guides that might be clearer, include more pictures, or provide more detailed step-by-step explanations. It would also be helpful to know if anyone has experience with the supplied instructions being too brief and whether it is better to look online for additional tips. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
The official Pax manual is generally detailed enough if you carefully study the illustrations. Precise steps and following the sequence are important.
A good tip: read through the entire manual before starting the assembly. This provides a clearer overview of the overall process and helps avoid mistakes.
Alternatively, forum posts or videos can be helpful to better understand difficult parts – but not as a substitute, rather as a supplement to the official manual.

[color-coded graphics sound great! 😊 That definitely makes the whole process much more relaxed. I believe these little aids really make the difference between getting frustrated and enjoying the build.
I would also recommend, if possible, having a second person help with the assembly – not just for the extra strength but also to have an additional set of eyes on the instructions. In my experience, a bit of teamwork significantly reduces frustration!]
