Hello,

Will this trim also be plastered? Or what is typically done with it?

I would paint it as the building inspector recommends. Leaving it as is would bother me as well. It’s not a big deal.

I’m wondering what kind of cover this actually is. The narrow outer part is the plaster profile, but what is the purpose of the wide inner cover? If it’s a casing for a venetian blind, there’s nothing to roll up like with a roller shutter, so it’s actually strange to choose such a wide opening. But it is what it is, and it’s not a problem. I would paint it in the wall color since plastering would result in the same appearance but would be more costly.

This is the Bero roller shutter box.

I’m not familiar with Bero boxes. If you have thick masonry walls (425mm (17 inches), 490mm (19 inches)), it might just be an extension of the cover trim. But it doesn’t really matter. Just paint both trims in the facade color, and they will blend in.

The cover panel definitely belongs to the box. We will paint it, although I can only do this on the ground floor without scaffolding.

You can paint from the inside, right?
