Hello,

Will this trim also be plastered? Or what is typically done with it?

If the surface is indeed not plastered or painted, I will deduct the costs for that from the builder. As you can see, the profiles have around 1000 scratches and discolorations that can no longer be removed.

Do you have to access it if something is broken on the blind?

It’s a shutter box, not a roller blind box.

Still, an access panel should be installed that can be opened if something breaks.

I would do it anyway, even if it affects the appearance. It’s better to expose the access panel once and then have it replastered than to be bothered by its look every day. Access is probably only needed at a window about every 10 years anyway.

In the neighborhood, this was done using the fabric tape mentioned earlier.

There is no need for an access panel there. It’s simply the cover for the apron.

It just looks really bad.

Exterior view of a building facade: blue wall, drainpipe on the left, rusty corner on the frame.

Don’t you see it?
These are photos of the patio door and the corner window on the ground floor.
I don’t really mind about the upper floor. The builder just told me that normally these are painted by the homeowner as a DIY task.
