I want to install a controlled mechanical ventilation system. Since I will be doing the ceiling installations for the electrical wiring and plumbing myself, I think I can also run the ventilation system at the same time and keep the costs low. The distribution systems look well-designed.
Regarding the controlled residential ventilation units, I am really facing a dilemma. First, I want to say that all companies sent their quotes very quickly. There is a very wide price range. Around 3000 (currency) are the RecoupAerator from the company Zentralbelüftung and the Eco400 from Dreiecktechnik. Tobler, Nilan, Helios, Cosmatech, and Zehnder are already around 5000 (currency). The Avenco model 90 is somewhere in the middle. This means the difference is over 50% between the two “budget-friendly” options and the rest. For my house, 300m3 (10,600 ft3) airflow is sufficient. I want the best price-performance ratio but do not want to overpay. Has anyone had experience with units priced around 3000 (currency)? Heat recovery? Noise issues? Quality? Service? Thank you very much for your replies 🙂

I think a controlled residential ventilation system is quite good. The initial investment is high, but the savings come with the adjustable ventilation. Energy is not simply lost from the house. Also, the used air is extracted much more effectively.
Simply ventilating by opening windows has its disadvantages. A lot of energy is lost this way, which ultimately costs money.

Ventilation is something that also bothers us. We've been considering a controlled residential ventilation system for a long time. However, we haven't found the right one yet. When I look online, there are several advantages but also disadvantages. It also seems quite expensive, at least in my opinion.
