Hello everyone,
I’m new here and haven’t been active in forums before. I hope I’m posting this topic in the right place.
We are currently planning our house with a double garage. Behind this double garage, there is a workshop, so the total exterior size of the garage area is 6 x 9 meters (20 x 30 feet). Now the question is, what kind of base should we use for the garage? Initially, we wanted a concrete slab with an industrial coating. However, the downside of this is that water from wet cars wouldn’t be able to drain off properly. Also, according to our construction company, we should budget up to €7000 for the concrete slab for this area, which seems like quite a lot to us. Therefore, we are considering paving instead. But we don’t think it looks very good. Somehow, the garage then feels more like an outdoor space. In the workshop, we also foresee the issue that if a screw falls on the floor, it might be difficult to find again. What are your thoughts on this topic? Do you have any tips for us or perhaps other alternatives?
