Hello everyone,
the new build, which will be used either for long-term rental or as a holiday home rental, is now ready for wallpapering.
What would be recommended in this case?
Smooth fleece wallpaper or textured wallpaper, pros and cons of these types. We are really unsure about this.
Best regards, Markus

Textured wallpaper slightly dulls all colors – including white – making them appear somewhat grayish or dirty because the small bumps do not reflect light as well as smooth walls.

Textured wallpaper is much more forgiving when it comes to flaws and actual dirt. For rental properties, I would always choose textured wallpaper. The rougher, the better.

I had already suspected that. Smooth plaster does look very elegant, but you have to be practical. As an alternative to woodchip wallpaper, I have shortlisted the Erfurt Flax 100.

Nowadays, people don’t use wallpaper anymore, do they?

Woodchip wallpaper always looks cheap. It gets even worse when patches from wall plug holes are plastered over.
