Hello,

I am currently working on finishing our outdoor areas and am considering the access path. I would appreciate your input.

We have a platform at the entrance measuring roughly 1.40 x 1.80 meters (4 ft 7 in x 5 ft 11 in) with a doormat, and a walkway about 1.20 meters (4 ft) wide and 12 meters (39 ft 4 in) long.

Would it be possible to cover the platform with a type of exposed concrete approximately 4 cm (1.5 inches) thick instead of using paving slabs? What trade would typically carry out this kind of work?

Could walkway slabs measuring 1.20 x 1.20 meters (4 ft x 4 ft) be made from the same material to match the platform?

Thank you for your feedback!

Since the bricklayer is also responsible for the foundation slab, I would suggest asking them.

That should be possible. It's just a matter of money and materials ;-)

The bricklayer should be able to do that. What's important in a project like this is how the water will be drained later.
