Hello everyone,

Our house was built in 2020 with Poroton blocks (42.5cm (17 inches), no external insulation system) and plastered. I don’t have more specific information about the plaster.

On the west side, we can see stains on the damp exterior wall, and the joints are also slightly visible. On the dry wall, the stains are hardly noticeable. Other exterior walls, either on our house or at neighbors’, show no abnormalities.

I understand that plaster can develop mold over time. However, I am surprised why the stains are only so noticeable when the wall is wet. Could the plaster be too thin, causing the masonry to “show through”?

I have an appointment with the builder soon, so I would appreciate your neutral opinions. Thank you!

and where it is always assumed, as a matter of course, that everyone knows what is meant 🙁
In a homebuilding forum or the construction sector, the abbreviation “WDVS” is as common an expression as “SPD” or “CDU” in politics 🙂

Yes, that's true 😀
Then it’s actually not that bad.

Then you have to get professional support 😉

There is always a lot of criticism about BER because no experts were involved and politicians tried to act as site managers themselves... with house building, unfortunately, it seems normal that people with no technical or trade knowledge think they can manage it themselves.

This is the result. Unfortunately.

The main thing is to “give your two cents” here and then post complete nonsense.

I often get annoyed by the many abbreviations in forums, which I also often can’t "translate" through an internet search

On the other hand, it is better to hire an expert to guide you if you already find all the abbreviations difficult.

That way, disasters like the one with the plaster here can be avoided.
