Hello,

Our house is located on a slight slope, and the original plan was to build a south-facing terrace of about 10 x 5 meters (approximately 33 x 16 feet), raising it around 1.2 meters (4 feet) above ground level and securing the sides with retaining walls (the house itself will be built up accordingly, with no basement).

My question is whether it would be more cost-effective to build a suspended wooden deck instead.

Since I am also considering plans for a terrace roof or even a conservatory (although there is currently no budget for that), and the budget is very tight, another question is whether it might make sense to leave the terrace incomplete at first and gradually add onto it later.

When building up the ground, the question also arises whether I could simply add a conservatory in 5-10 years or if it would be better to already prepare the foundations and the floor slab now, which would then cost around € ? again.
