Hello dear community,

Alongside progressing with our own house build, which will surely bring up many topics, we are currently in the process of renovating an apartment in a rental building. The balcony is part of this. My question is which type of floor construction would be best for this balcony. Since this apartment is for rental purposes, it should be simple/practical, durable, and cost-effective. I believe tiles require a screed as a base, right? That would probably be quite labor-intensive. Would it be easiest to cover the 4m² (43 sq ft) with simple WPC tiles on a plastic substructure?

Many thanks for your answers and links to suitable products, etc. Unfortunately, I am not a tradesperson and I am counting on you as experts.

Thank you very much,
Tim 🙂

PS: Attached is a photo of our own home. However, this is unrelated to this request :-)
