Hello everyone,
Since my bathroom is still in the shell stage, I have been considering installing a bidet toilet seat.
However, I have some questions. From what I understand, they only require cold water and an electrical connection. So, is the warm water generated directly in the toilet? Does the warm water come immediately, or is there always a short burst of cold water first? How should I prepare the installation correctly?
I don’t want to see any visible water supply lines or faucets.
Are the water and electrical connections then installed behind the tiles and inside the toilet? I haven’t really found clear information on that.
Which bidet toilet seat is affordable and reliable?
Thanks for your feedback.

I have a cheap product because I wasn’t sure if it would work with "my backside." Before that, I used a handheld shower.
I don’t need warm water, a heated toilet seat, or night lighting; my cheap unit can do everything. You have to learn how to sit properly to get “clean.” At least, that’s how it is for me. I’m not sure if it works better with Toto. For me, sometimes yes, sometimes no. If the cheap unit breaks, I’ll buy a better one, without those extras.

Thanks for the tip. Toto at 2,000€ is out of my league. And I’m also skeptical about a flexible hose inside the wall. I’ve seen too many broken hoses. I’d prefer a pipe up to the tile surface.
The outlets don’t seem standardized either. With Toto, they come out between the pipes from the wall, and with Bernstein, they are centered on the drain. I’d like to revisit the topic of preparation. How do I optimally prepare the installation to be independent of the manufacturer for a shower toilet? Running a cable isn’t a problem, but what should the perfect water connection look like? Are there specific fittings? A small shut-off valve?
Thanks for your help.
