I am currently planning another construction project, and since I have had excellent experiences with windows from Poland on a previous building, I wanted to ask here whether there are also providers in Poland who can erect a shell construction in Germany. Has anyone here had experience with this?
Best regards
Dominik

Hello dear forum,
I am currently planning another build, and since I have already had excellent experiences with windows from Poland on another project, I wanted to ask here if there are also suppliers in Poland who can erect a shell structure in Germany. Has anyone of you had experience with this? I doubt you really appreciate this forum if you haven’t shared your previous house-building experiences with us. As a native German speaker, if I want to respectfully learn something I don’t know, I read the construction drawings even if they are in Polish. But if you can…
One forum member with several usernames (mostly ending in “78”) was born in Poland, bought not only windows there, but built his house in Brandenburg with a local general contractor (GU / main contractor) (KB Brandis).

I don’t have personal experience with this. However, all major general contractors work with teams from Eastern Europe (especially for simpler tasks like masonry), since there are not enough skilled workers in Germany—even with the current slow construction sector.

I somehow don’t understand your post. Sorry. I can’t find any forum member whose name ends with “78.”

The internet is full of companies that connect you with partner firms. At the same time, many Polish companies look for contracts on specialized platforms.
I don’t have personal experience in the private sector. But all major general contractors work with crews from Eastern Europe (especially for simpler tasks like brickwork), because in Germany (despite the weak construction industry) there are not enough skilled tradespeople. On which platforms can you find such companies? When I search for shell construction Poland, unfortunately I don’t find anything worthwhile.
Basically, one reliable company from Poland that is proficient in English would be enough for me.

I don’t understand your post. Were you born in Poland, or what do you mean by that? If you don’t even understand my post, how are the Polish workers on your own construction site supposed to understand?
Firstly, I was talking about the challenges of the German-Polish language barrier, which is not trivial for me as a German (a little bit of “communication” is not enough; construction plans—even for structural shell work—sometimes involve intricate details). Secondly, I mentioned a forum member who, although born in Poland and still fluent in Polish, had their house in Brandenburg in the border commuter area built by a German general contractor.
My posts aren’t necessarily meant to provide conclusive advice for the questioner alone. Ask yourself how well you master the native language of your contractors in order to be able to clarify and discuss construction plans (in which of the two languages?). My Polish is not sufficient for this purpose, but the forum member’s is, yet he still chose a German general contractor. Draw whatever conclusions you want from this information.
