Hello everyone,
During my lighting planning, I noticed that several outlets are connected in series. So, with one switch, I activate two or three outlets. This means the cables were simply extended to the next outlet. Unfortunately, at the time of purchase, I no longer had any influence on the electrical installation. I would like to make the individual outlets dimmable separately. Does anyone know an easy way to do this without installing new cables?
Good luck

Without an up-to-date wiring diagram, this won’t work. You would need to inspect on site exactly how everything has been wired and what the actual requirements are.
Otherwise, for track lighting systems, it is usually possible to install so-called "smart bulbs".This is a series circuit, meaning the power for outlet two is taken from outlet one, and the power for outlet three from outlet two. So it’s not a parallel circuit where outlets two and three each have their own live phase. Whoever still does this nowadays… Smart bulbs are of course an option but not necessarily what you are looking for.A

If not just a three-core cable but, for example, a five-core cable has been installed, the second rail could be connected to another free phase and then switched. If a five-core cable is available, that would be ideal, as the busbar could then be controlled across three phases.
