Hello everyone,

we are currently remodeling a bathroom and definitely want a seamless finish. I have already spoken with a master plasterer. He provided a quote stating that he plans to use a lime plaster and seal it with a transparent 2-component polyurethane (2K PU) coating (shower walls, bathtub area, etc.).

Is that sufficient?

When I search online for seamless bathrooms, I find many solutions, but this one is nowhere to be found.

Does anyone have experience with the method mentioned above?

I have attached the quote for reference. It includes other items as well.

I have no experience with what was offered. However, I do not consider it to be “optimal.”
We have seamless bathrooms. They were constructed using the system from Dold.
Definitely look for someone who has experience with this type of work.

I’m sharing again one of my favorite products when it comes to seamless surfaces—also because of the wide range of design options: Brillux Mineralico (or similar).

I couldn’t find any reliable information about its suitability in shower areas, but I also can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t be appropriate.

Prices online for walls are listed at around €200 per m² (approximately $20 per ft²). Is that roughly the price range you have in mind or have paid?
Mineralico was offered to us at that price.
