I am currently finishing the installation of our decentralized ventilation system. The outlets to the outside are located in the window reveal and will be fitted with stainless steel grilles. Since the plaster does not come out perfectly clean to make the grilles fit exactly, I need to make the opening a bit larger.
My question is:
What is the best way to seal this properly?
I was thinking of using white acrylic sealant. Would that be suitable?

Joe

Acrylic is not suitable for outdoor use because it tends to develop mold quickly. I would tape off the mesh and carefully apply the base plaster. Then paint the entire reveal.
