We installed Salamander brand windows. Now, condensation regularly forms on the second seal in many of the windows. Except when the wind blows directly on the windows — then no condensation occurs.
I have to wipe the condensation dry daily to prevent further damage to the seals.
Hygrometers have been set up, showing a maximum humidity of 56%. So the house is relatively “dry.” We ventilate regularly by airing out the rooms, and the construction period lasted almost 2 years – so it wasn’t a rush job.
Another issue is that dirt and spider webs accumulate between the seals on the outside of the glass (see pictures), and black threads are also coming loose.
Has anyone had similar experiences?
Are these defects that have to be accepted?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Meike_Hausbau
