ᐅ Roof tiles: Edge chipping

Hello everyone,

Recently, while looking over the roof, I noticed that the coating on the sides of some tiles has chipped off (see attachment). Is this normal? The house and roof are 5 years old.

Frost damage? It appears so. Well, the roof won’t leak, but it’s not ideal.

With concrete roof tiles, you have to take this into account.
