In 1985, we built our current house using 25cm (10 inch) Hebel blocks, also known as aerated concrete, for the ground and top floors, achieving excellent thermal performance. The roof was constructed in the typical way for that time.

Now that the children have moved out, the house is much too large, and we want to build a smaller one.

A few years after our house was completed, we noticed in the wider neighborhood houses with roofs also made from aerated concrete roof tiles. Regular roof tiles were then installed on top.

Question:
- What would the roof assembly look like from inside to outside if one wanted or had to meet the 2009 Energy Saving Ordinance using these aerated concrete roof tiles?
- Does anyone know approximately what price I should expect for such a roof? The house is planned to be 11 by 12.5 meters (36 by 41 feet) with a 30-degree roof pitch and no windows (to simplify calculations). The roof covering should be standard concrete roof tiles, for example, the kind similar to "Frankfurter Pfanne."

Thank you very much
