I recently purchased a penthouse on the 7th floor and now plan to renovate it. Specifically, about 20m² (215 sq ft) of concrete wall with a thickness of 15cm (6 inches), approximately 150m² (1,615 sq ft) of wooden flooring, two complete bathrooms, the kitchen, and several old radiators are to be removed.
I have carried out such work several times before, but always on the ground floor or first floor.
Now, however, I am faced with the question of how to transport the material out and bring the new material into the apartment. Transporting everything using the passenger elevator seems very cumbersome and time-consuming, especially since there is a staircase from the penthouse down to the 6th floor. The apartment has a very large roof terrace, so I wondered if it would be possible to transport the materials through this area using a pulley system. I imagined something like a rotating jib crane... What options are available with certified approval, and what should be considered, especially since the materials would have to be lifted or lowered in front of the apartments below?
I would greatly appreciate any shared experiences or suggestions for solutions.
Thank you in advance! :-)

Thank you very much for the tips and suggestions! :-) For example, I didn’t know about the ladder lift at all! I think it will probably end up being a combination of a debris chute and a ladder lift. Luckily, there is enough space on the roof terrace to store the demolition material extensively, and then send it all down at once through the chute into a container. Anything that doesn’t fit can then be transported via the ladder or passenger lift.
Does anyone else have any other ideas? If not, thanks again and see you soon!
