kvivHello,
We are currently negotiating with our builder regarding the purchase of a townhouse (see attachment).
From the beginning, our contact person (real estate agent) told us that removing the wall section behind the door would not be a problem.
However, this turned out to be incorrect, as it is a load-bearing wall (calcium silicate brick 12/IIa). The construction company is now offering to remove the wall, but instead install a support column approximately 20 cm x 20 cm (8 inches x 8 inches), clad with fire-resistant material. A beam is not required.
Unfortunately, they have not been able to provide a final price yet, as this needs to be clarified with the structural engineer and others. Could someone perhaps give us an approximate price range so that we are not completely unprepared going into the negotiations?
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards,
kviv
