Does anyone have experience with the prices for reed switches in windows and doors?
We want to monitor these and asked our general contractor about the costs. They now want 185 EUR per contact including installation.
When I look online, I find these contacts for around 30 EUR.
So the installation alone would cost 150 EUR. This does not include the wiring to the home automation room (HAR). That seems very expensive to me.
Therefore, I thought about sourcing the parts myself and installing them. I was then told that I would lose the warranty for the windows.

The second point regarding the contacts is the quantity. For double-leaf doors, the contractor now wants to install one contact on each leaf. In my opinion, one contact on the leaf that opens first should be sufficient. Or am I mistaken?
I would appreciate hearing how you see this or how you have already solved it.

We paid 46 euros plus tax for the Winkhaus Active Pilot contacts. The wiring to the distribution box was an additional cost. This price was from the window manufacturer, as we opted for individual contracting.

...and very importantly, have the opening and closing monitoring checked after the installation of the components to avoid unpleasant surprises later on.

Although the window manufacturer is responsible, once all the connections are already made, replacing the contacts is extremely frustrating.

The window manufacturers should have a testing device for this purpose.
