Hello,

I am currently working on the planning. I have a plot of land that borders both a main road and a side street. Where would you place your driveway? The side street will only be built next year, so I would have to create a temporary driveway on the main road for now. If the driveway is built on the main road, I can start construction immediately.

What would you choose?

In our area, the speed limit on almost the entire main road is 30 km/h (20 mph), except around the marketplace. That is where children, elderly people, and the sick need to cross the street.

Ah, okay, not a main road. If oriented to the north, the side street would be fine, with access on the east side—always these decisions. Fortunately, for our build, it wasn’t possible to access the property from the north.

- I am now facing questions that I don’t have answers to since I have never really dealt with these issues before. Now I have to find answers and weigh what is best. Sometimes you wish you didn’t have so many options, haha.

I should have just added the full view; then it would have been easier to see.

Well noticed and it's what I've been saying a thousand times here. Anyway, go ahead and fix the issue.

Exactly right, and I've said this countless times here. Well, then go ahead and fix the defect.

What about development fees and winter road maintenance? You don’t want to end up being told later that you are on a side street, even though you use it.
