Hello,
we are planning to build next year and already have a plot of land.
We have drawn our floor plan ourselves (basement, ground floor, first floor, garage, terrace, etc.). We have also decided on window and door sizes and sketched the exterior view.
We plan to visit an architect next week so they can develop our plan.
What decisions should be made by then? What questions can we expect?
- Heating system?
- Placement of power outlets / light switches?
Thank you very much

After that, we will subcontract everything ourselves or mostly do it ourselves. The approach is perfectly fine. I also personally think it’s good if you feel confident enough to do it.
However, I find the questions and statements in the three posts quite puzzling, to the point where I have to say: you probably are taking on more than you can handle. It all seems rather naive to me: starting with the question in the first visit to the architect regarding windows and electrical installations, then the statement that everything is already planned even though you know that the design phase is still a work in progress... Well, good luck. If necessary, we’ll be here to help.
