Are you aware of any prefab home companies whose wall construction allows you to drill a hole anywhere in the wall?
I prefer wall-mounted cabinets and would like to know what kind of wall structure a prefab home company must have so that I can install wall cabinets almost anywhere, even later on.
Also, I am not yet decided about exterior shutters and would like to know if that is possible with a prefab home, or if some kind of reinforcement needs to be planned in advance.

because houses made with Ytong don’t have kitchens installed? Especially since Ytong is basically the opposite of a prefab house...I mean problematic in the sense that it’s not just a simple hole, anchor, screw done, regardless of the weight. But as I said, it’s just an estimate.
True, I was just thinking of Ytong in relation to Town & Country.

I think it’s Streif Haus, but I haven’t looked into them in detail.
From my experience, smaller companies—like a local carpenter who also offers timber frame construction—tend to be more flexible: “OSB board? No problem, we can install that.” I can’t tell you how much extra that might cost, though.
But you should definitely pay attention to this if you want wall cabinets!
Regarding the shutters: Because of the render facade, we decided not to attach anything directly to it. Otherwise, over time you get streaks. We even want to keep the mailbox separate. So I can’t really say when it’s okay to install these easily. Are you going with a brick veneer facade? We’re not doing a brick veneer facade.
I’ve never seen those streaks on a house with shutters. Where exactly do the streaks form?

I would inquire directly with the respective prefabricated house company. For example, Fingerhaus does not offer shutters at all, but for different reasons. Are you aware of why Fingerhaus does not offer shutters?Pinkiponk schrieb:

I have never seen those streaks on a house with shutters. Where do the streaks appear? Not specifically with shutters – they also occur quite often on window sills. The streaks usually form where water runs down the facade. A plaster facade is simply more sensitive than brick veneer. Take a look around residential areas with open eyes—you’ll notice huge differences in plaster quality. And if you don’t use a very high-quality plaster and there are dirt traps on the facade (I also count shutters among these), the facade soon won’t look as good.

Do you know why Fingerhaus does not offer shutters?Low demand. Possibly also due to the effort required for wood certification. At least some homeowners have said that this is why they do not have real wood windows.
