Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our outdoor area. We have a full south-facing exposure, so it gets a lot of sun in summer.

At the moment, we want to use flower boxes integrated into Euro pallet furniture and plant the right plants there. Do you have any recommendations on what to plant that won’t dry out quickly? The problem is that the planter boxes only allow for a small amount of soil – does it even make sense to plant anything there? They are exposed to the sun all day.

Thank you in advance.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest stonecrop and low-growing sedum; there are many leaf colors available, and they also have attractive blooms. They tolerate heat and drought well.

You could also try types of carnations like campion or catmint, which have a long flowering period.

I wouldn't do that. You are allowed to water several times a day.

Thank you very much for the tips, I will definitely check them out.

You’re welcome. I just searched for "Sedum pallet planter" on Google, and there are some really nice pictures.

Rosemary is always a great choice. Nearly indestructible, it tolerates very high temperatures and requires little water. It blooms beautifully, is favored by bees, and is also popular in the kitchen.
