We have a solid wood staircase in dark wood going from the ground floor to the first floor. We now want to renovate the staircase without investing thousands of euros right away.

I read somewhere that there are so-called "panel" floors that can be used to cover the existing stairs. Is that possible? Or should we simply sand them down and paint? Are there paints that can make them look like beech wood? So light and friendly? I don’t want to just paint them white.

THANK YOU

But unfortunately, I don’t have 100,000 (100,000) available, so I’d rather keep the stairs, have them sanded and repainted before spending 10,000 (10,000) on a new staircase. Hence the question about approximate costs!?
