I recently installed a photovoltaic system, which cost me 13,000 €. I would like to know, for comparison, how much others have spent on theirs.
I look forward to your replies.

It is obvious that solar power alone is not profitable—this applies to almost all other forms of electricity generation as well (nuclear power is only economically viable because military interests have driven technological development, both in the past and today).
To make solar power from your own roof worthwhile, there are several options:
1. The feed-in tariff (KEV) → although it often involves long waiting times, the electricity price is then contractually fixed for the next 20 years.
2. Private as well as public solar power trading platforms.
This way, even smaller systems of about 20m² (215 ft²) can be economically viable… :-)

Additionally, here is an explanation for those who are not very familiar with the topic:
"KEV": Cost-covering Feed-in Tariff, a Swiss support scheme for electricity generation from renewable energy sources. The payback and compensation period for photovoltaic systems is 25 years.

swissembedded-127 Aug 2014 08:25There is an update. With the new one-time payment, it is currently possible to install a solar system. For next year, significant reductions are mentioned, although these have not yet been officially announced by swissgrid.
The most cost-effective way is to build your solar system yourself.
