Hausbaur2d230 Jul 2019 07:59Hello everyone,
The blue PE pipe for our water connection is exposed for about 1.5 meters (5 feet), meaning it is not inside a conduit.
Is this allowed? Do I need to have it placed inside a conduit, or can it simply be covered with sand and then backfilled? I have a slight feeling that something might be wrong, but I’m also happy to hear from experts why this might be acceptable.
Thanks and best regards 😉

Hausbaur2d230 Jul 2019 08:16Thank you! I had the same thought about the "dirt." However, the excavation will remain open until the electrical and telecom lines are installed.
After that, the excavation will be filled and properly covered with sand.
The sand is still missing because the slab contractor excavated the pit like that last week.
