Hello,

We have a parquet floor that is about 30 years old, which was completely sanded and white-oiled last summer.

Unfortunately, we had a severe pipe burst in the winter that required extensive drying, and for this, a total of six holes were drilled into our floor. I had the same specialist company repair these holes for me. However, the result is simply disastrous, as you can see in the pictures.

My question now is how this very beautiful floor can still be saved or what options are available. My trust in this company is, of course, completely gone.

Thank you for your help
Dave

Solid hardwood flooring installed as a floating floor that is 30 years old? Are you sure?

Yes, we installed it shortly after moving in.

However, I think I misunderstood the term "solid." When I look at the edge of the floor, it’s not just a "single plank" but two or three layers. The top layer is maple.

Ok, that obviously won’t work for chiseling out individual pieces. Floating floors are always tricky, especially when sanding. Have you asked a second floor installer for advice?
