Hello, is 3 m (10 feet) wide enough for a driveway and parking space next to the house?

The plot width is about 17 m (56 feet), the house width is approximately 10.20 m (33.5 feet), and the garage width is about 3.80 m (12.5 feet) with adjacent boundary construction.

Originally, we planned the garage to be 3.15 m (10.3 feet) wide, with the driveway/parking area around 3.65 m (12 feet) wide.

Unfortunately, the building permit / planning permission application is already ready for submission, and making changes would be complicated.

I don’t fully understand the question. The numbers in the text are quite different from those in the headline. You really don’t have much leeway with a 10.2 meter (33.5 feet) wide house on a 17 meter (55.8 feet) plot. 3.8 meters (12.5 feet) is basically the maximum. Whether you want to always enter and exit separately over the next 40 years is up to you.

For driving through this is sufficient, and also for parking. Getting out on both sides is tight.

We'll leave it as it is for now; two parking spaces are planned in front of the house, which should be sufficient initially. If the application is not approved and changes need to be made anyway, we'll reconsider. A wider garage certainly has its advantages.

Hello,
at our current house, a semi-detached home, the driveway is only 3 meters (10 feet) wide as well. It’s tight, but it works...
We have two larger cars; I fold in the mirrors, park quite close to the boundary, and the other side gets out!
