Entrance area with bright sideboard, decorative vases on the cabinet, and door window in the background.
What do you think?
The heating works perfectly, so replacement is not necessary yet.

However, the radiators almost look like they are made of plastic, is that possible?

I would like to paint them white?!?

Do you just want to paint the radiator, or make other changes as well? Are you already living there?

There is special radiator paint, but you should definitely check the material first. As far as I know, there are only metal covers.

Best regards

Hello, from December we can move in and start renovating... then we'll have time 🙂

I just want to clarify a few things in advance and explore some options...

Question: Are there old radiators with plastic covers? Because that would make painting quite difficult.

If it’s plastic, spray paint can be used (as graffiti artists do; apply thinly, possibly in multiple layers). However, the result will never fully match the appearance of original solid-colored plastic. If possible, test it first (maybe there’s a similar radiator in the basement or elsewhere).

Regarding the material: the sound often reveals a lot. If a magnet sticks, it’s metal (the opposite is not a definitive indication). If there is a nameplate, you can look it up online or contact the manufacturer (if they still exist). If the cover (?) can be easily removed, you can estimate the material by comparing the weight to its density.
