I have received the following quote for earthworks in the southwest:
Prices are net, excluding VAT.
Site setup: 650.00 €
Excavated soil disposal at landfill: 24 € per ton (metric)
Leveling: applying and compacting 30cm (12 inches) of gravel: 28 € per ton (metric)
Graveling driveway: 28 € per ton (metric)
Installation of mixed control shaft: 2,700 €
Laying wastewater pipes: 95 € per linear meter
Laying rainwater pipes: 90 € per linear meter
Gravel for backfilling work areas: 20 € per ton (metric)
Would this be a fair price?

The costs for "pipe installation" are probably very difficult or even impossible to compare. Soil type, depth, and possibly other challenging conditions can turn €90 per meter (approximately $97 per yard) into either a bargain or an overpriced charge.
P.S. With "normal" soil conditions and "normal" depths, the price still seems quite high to me.

HoisleBauer2220 Sep 2022 23:02Thank you all for the feedback. The soil is soil class 4 (clayey/silty, firm). The pipes are KG 2000, but the material costs shouldn’t be the issue. I will see if I can arrange some other quotes for comparison.
