Hello everyone
Today we received the preliminary draft of our house plans.
We are actually quite happy with them and have only made a few small changes to the windows. Now we would like to get your feedback on our plans and hear if there’s anything we should consider or maybe change
Our conditions:
We are building on a slope that rises about 3-4 meters (10-13 feet) from the street side to the plot. The garages and the office in the basement are therefore at ground level. The rest of the basement is underground.
On top of the extended garages, we will create a small south-facing balcony for breakfast and similar activities.
From the living room, you can then access the garden at ground level. There will also be a terrace in front of the living room.
The window-door element there will be slightly larger (from 2 to 3 meters (6.5 to 10 feet)).
In the bedroom, we added a window at the top and moved the bed into the room.
The office area in the basement will be divided into two offices with a drywall partition, since we both work from home.
We appreciate any feedback or criticism!
Kind regards,
Maximilian & Carmen

Please share the elevation levels of the existing terrain (preferably as contour lines or survey points on the site plan). I would say someone has a preference for 24cm (9.5 inches) interior walls. And as much as I generally appreciate maintaining discipline amid the variety of window sizes: especially on the south-facing facade, this does give a slight touch of an apartment building vibe.
