fraubauer15 Jun 2016 08:56Hello.
After moving into the new condominium, I noticed that the heat meter in the distribution box is not working. There is no display, probably because the fuse for this circuit is still removed.
However, the underfloor heating is working and getting warm.
Is the consumption still being recorded even though the meter shows nothing?
Also, the heating technician said, "You don’t need to do anything else, the heating is set up."
Thank you
erika

Deliverer15 Jun 2016 09:29Hello Erika,
may I ask what you need the heat quantity measurement for? If you don’t actually require it, I even think it makes sense to switch off the meter.
I believe these devices often have to be installed only because of the BAFA subsidy (not that they could make use of it...).
Best regards, Daniel

ErikErdgas20 Jun 2016 09:51Hello Erika,
The operation of the heat meter certainly depends on its design. Normally, these meters are powered by a battery that lasts several years (possibly as long as the calibration period). If they are connected to a bus system for remote reading, the power can also be supplied via the bus line. If the display is off, this usually means the meter is not showing values to save energy. There should be a button on the meter that allows you to "activate" the display and navigate through the meter’s readings (besides the total energy amount, often also the current power, supply and return temperatures, etc.). Best regards, Erik from moderne.HeizungHello.
Thank you for your reply.
I have now taken a photo of my heat meter inside the underfloor distribution cabinet.
It is not showing any readings! This surprises me.
I live in a building with six apartments. The heating system (pellets and collectors) is running.
The heating controller switches on when I turn it all the way to the left.
However, the meter shows nothing. It should be displaying something since the underfloor heating has been running during the construction phase.
Should I raise this issue with the developer? Or with the heating installer? Or is it normal that it shows nothing?
Thank you
