What is more advisable to install in a newly built bungalow – natural gas or an air-to-water heat pump?
Which one is more economical or efficient?
What is better overall?
Please share your experiences 🙂
Thank you

Personally, I find air-to-water heat pumps too noisy. Of course, a passing car is louder, but you can always hear that constant humming and rushing sound. When I walk past these units, I can still hear them from at least 10 meters (33 feet) away. In Germany, there are definitely areas with large plots where you can install them without disturbing the neighbors, but here in our new development areas, the plots are simply too small and the buildings too close together.

Best regards

Gas combined with photovoltaic systems is affordable in terms of initial investment and maintenance, with slightly higher operating costs that could increase further if Nordstream 2 does not proceed 😉

Already three pages in this thread... So, there is no general answer! It depends on the heating demand of the house, that is, the insulation, and on the domestic hot water needs of its occupants.

You should have an energy consultant explain the differences to you.
