Hello everyone, I just replaced the laminate flooring in my living room and noticed that my Kallax shelf, which used to stand perfectly straight, now seems a bit tilted. Apparently, the change in flooring has altered or slightly unevened the supporting surface. My main question for you is: how do you usually level an IKEA Kallax shelf when the floor isn’t completely flat or is slightly uneven? Do you use special shims, adjust the feet, or are there other methods or tools you prefer? I’m looking for a permanent and simple solution to place the shelf securely and straight, without it wobbling or looking crooked. Thanks for your advice!

If the unevenness is greater, placing a wooden shim under the foot and securing it with double-sided tape helps. This way, you can easily adjust the height. The Kallax does not have adjustable feet, so shimming is usually the best solution.

I simply used small plastic furniture shims, which come in various sizes. They allow you to level the shelf easily without it wobbling or sliding. They are inexpensive and practical.
