Hello dear colleagues,
we are currently considering providing snacks, drinks, etc. for the moving team.
How have you handled this? Minced meat sandwiches, coffee, cola, Fanta... and so on?
Or do you just give them the money (the company) and a tip is enough?

How is the process currently handled under COVID-19 conditions? I have read that moving helpers need to be registered—is there any truth to that?Could you please tell me where you read that?W
WilderSueden15 Jan 2021 21:14I wouldn’t know about that either. But a maximum of 5 people from 2 households would probably be quite a problem as well.
@WilderSueden
What do you mean by that? Here in NRW, currently, a maximum of two people from different households are allowed to meet. I just checked about moving. With a moving company (which we are using), there’s no problem. Private helpers are only allowed if they are direct relatives. Although I’m not sure what exactly that means. I didn’t look it up since we won’t have any helpers.

We did the same back then. They were very happy. They took breaks, ate and drank, and then took another break at lunchtime. As a thank you, both breaks were also charged to me.
Well, I still offer coffee to the craftsmen, but I skip the big breakfast. Unless I have a flat rate including installation.

I'm slowly losing track of what is still allowed. But if the only social contacts besides my girlfriend are work colleagues and construction companies, it doesn't really matter anyway...H
hampshire15 Jan 2021 22:18Movers / clearance workers were at my parents' house last week. Five men worked for six hours. We provided lunch (they chose kebabs), coffee, and water, and gave a tip (10€ per person). They were quite satisfied.
