Hello dear colleagues,

we are currently considering providing snacks, drinks, etc. for the moving team.
How have you handled this? Minced meat sandwiches, coffee, cola, Fanta... and so on?
Or do you just give them the money (the company) and a tip is enough?

The full package for me:
I put out drinks because it was almost 35°C (95°F) in the shade that day.
At lunchtime, there were sandwiches. You want to eat something yourself (and the kids too) during all the stress.
There was also a little tip given.

During my moves, I provided drinks twice and gave a tip afterward. Each time, the move was finished within 3 hours.
For one move, I also had friends help out. We finished in 1.5 hours (1 hour 30 minutes), and there was no tip given then.

The move took the whole day. I provided a midday snack (I asked what they wanted – kebab – they were all Arabs). I kept placing drinks out continuously. They didn’t touch the cola or coffee, only water, and only a little. They also never used any of our toilets ().

How is the process currently handled under COVID-19 conditions? I have read that moving helpers need to be registered—is there any truth to that?
