Hello everyone,

I have a Zehnder mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. What is the minimum distance required between the air supply outlet and any obstacles?
Background: I want to place a wardrobe in the bedroom, which would unfortunately stand directly in front of the air supply outlet. The distance would be about 3-4 cm (1-2 inches).

Is that okay, or would this impair the system’s function?

Thanks and regards,

That’s hard to say, but I tend to lean towards "yes." It can be helpful if the base of the cabinet has ventilation openings at the front.

div Paradigms recommend at least twice the diameter as the minimum distance.
At least three times would be better.

Depending on the valve used, noise may occur. If you choose a flat one that vents to the side, there are no concerns regarding functionality.

It is a Zehnder CLD-P.

Noise generation is not a big issue as long as the function is ensured.
