Hello,

My wife and I have verbally agreed to purchase a house built in 1986. Most of the ground floor already has underfloor heating installed. We are considering milling in underfloor heating in the remaining areas since we plan to replace the flooring. Additionally, underfloor heating should be installed in the renovated bathroom on the first floor.

My questions are:
1. Could there be any compatibility issues? According to the contractor, no. The manifold on the ground floor can definitely be tapped with a lower supply temperature, and on the first floor, the existing pipework for the conventional radiators can apparently be used.
2. Are there any alternatives? Removing the screed and installing a conventional system is clear, but it is more complex and costly.

Thank you in advance...
