Hello everyone,
we are currently considering connecting our dishwasher to the hot water supply. Regardless of whether this makes sense or not (a domestic hot water system will be installed), I am more interested in knowing which manufacturers actually offer this feature in their dishwashers. Does anyone have experience with this? The friendly gentleman at the kitchen showroom could only name Miele for me...

Hello everyone,
I did some research. Basically, there are Mixxx (which was expected!) and Sixxxxx, who manufacture a dishwasher with a bi-thermal water connection. Of course, you can connect any machine to hot water without any problem, but it can happen that the dishes do not dry properly. This is because the heating phase is skipped, and the machine uses that heat later for drying.
All in all, the machines are just too expensive... I can’t wash enough dishes to see a benefit for myself. Considering a new machine uses 7 liters (2 gallons) and has low electricity consumption, you should carefully calculate the purchase cost :-)
