Hello everyone, I have noticed that the drawer handles on my Malm dressers tend to loosen over time, even though I tightened them properly. I’m wondering how to secure these handles correctly so they remain stable in the long term. Are there any special techniques or materials that should be used for this? And how can I prevent the screws from coming loose again? I look forward to your tips and experiences.

If you repair the handle holes, make sure not to use unsuitable filler materials that may crumble later. Simple wood filler is sufficient, but avoid any compounds that are not designed to withstand stress.

After drying, sand lightly so the screw fits again, and do not force it when turning.

Threadlocker comes in medium strength and high strength. For furniture handles, I recommend medium strength – this way, the handles can still be removed later if needed. The application is simple: apply a drop to the thread, then tighten. Works perfectly.

Perfect. Nothing more is needed.
