Hi,
I’m invited to a party this weekend where everyone is supposed to bring a salad. I thought about making a potato salad, but I don’t know the recipe. How can I make a salad that everyone will like?
Thanks, Hauser

hi,
I know the salad from my mother, who always adds endive to it. It tastes especially tangy, and I’ve never had it anywhere else besides her place. You should definitely try it!

Hi,
I always use a good-quality wine vinegar and let the salad marinate for a long time. However, it should definitely not be stored in the refrigerator, otherwise it loses its flavor, which is very important!!

Hello everyone,
when we make a salad like this, it absolutely must include fresh onions. That is very important because they give the salad its true flavor. Potatoes alone just don’t have a strong enough taste. I hope your salad turns out well.

First, cut the cooked potatoes into small slices. In a large bowl, combine them with pickles, corn, and plenty of mayonnaise (preferably the one from THOMY). Mix everything well!

The thread is very old and the issue has long been settled, but reading this from someone living in the Swabian region truly shocks me. One should be allowed to call it cultural ignorance.

Recipes don’t really go out of date! 😀 And as long as it tastes good, you can write whatever you want! 😉
