I am still looking for ways to incorporate something modern or practical into my new build (for example, a central vacuum system or a laundry chute).
Please share some suggestions!!
Thank you

Electric roller shutters, control technology such as KNX, electric gable windows, cabrio roof windows, laundry lifts, wooden lifts. I think there are countless options. It really depends on what each person finds practical and/or modern.
For example, I find a covered walkway or a direct connection to the garage very practical.

modern or practicalWell said, modern and practical often contradict each other...
Do you mean "modern" as the adjective relating to fashion or as the adjective relating to contemporary style?
Building a new home too strongly based on current fashion unfortunately means it will become "outdated" very quickly... but if you have the budget, go ahead and rebuild after five years...
Very practical is a network of empty conduit pipes, including to windows and doors (consider sound insulation), water and drainage connections in every room, walk-in showers / bathtubs, alternatives to stairs – basically everything that can meet future usage requirements. Check under "accessible design" for many ideas that make life easier... also in older age or if mobility restrictions start earlier...
Also very practical are double or dual sinks, a bidet in the bathroom, and odor extraction directly at the toilet bowl... if there are multiple family members (or planned), a second bathroom/toilet.
And don’t forget everything that increases your independence and reduces primary energy consumption: use of renewable energy, solar/geothermal systems, combined heat and power units with underfloor, wall, and ceiling heating (especially practical in the bathroom)... effective ventilation systems for supply and exhaust air, natural and artificial lighting, shading, etc.
There are many possibilities, but what matters most is your requirement profile / anticipated usage behavior—not only now but also in the future—and your budget framework...
