Hello!

I am looking for ideas for accent lighting on an open staircase and hallway.

From the basement hallway, we access the upper floor and gallery via a staircase that is open on one side. Our main lighting consists of standard ceiling lights hanging down about 2 meters (6.5 feet).

Now, I would like to add accent lighting on the staircase and possibly in the hallway. For example, to go to the bathroom at night or to move from the living room on the ground floor to the bedroom upstairs without turning on the main lights, and also simply as accent lighting.

I was thinking of up/down lighting or LED spotlights. Maybe something that stays on continuously (then LED).

What options are there for lamp selection? Perhaps someone has a nice idea about what to install and where? 🙂

I’ve pinned a rough sketch.

Regards,
phobos

And ypg, I won’t accept the statement "I'm blonde" as an excuse. You have already made enough sensible posts 🙄.

But not when it comes to the technical stuff 😉

It runs on mains voltage, is that the correct answer??? 🙄
