..... coordinate with the plumbing company?

Bringing your own materials won’t be installed because of the warranty.

How have you handled this, or how would you handle it?

Generally, have the main contractor’s plumbing company do the work and then arrange for the replacement yourself afterwards?

I don’t think replacing a toilet bowl is really that complicated?

Thanks!

Well, the general contractor doesn’t just install anything, but rather what was selected during the material sample approval.

Kind of the standard toilet bowl. Although I could also imagine a nice bottom-closed bowl. That’s why the plumbing company is going to offer me two models. We’ll see at what price, or possibly with a credit for the standard option.

Let it be done, do a bit of complaining, house discount, etc.

Later, you'll notice something about joints, tiles, etc.

Then have everything fully removed from the calculations and only have the connections installed. After that, hire a plumbing company and choose ceramic fixtures according to your preferences.
That’s how we did it....

We arranged this directly through the plumbing contractor. The additional costs were more than reasonable! Just make sure to keep the general contractor out of it...

We were not interested in building with a general contractor first and then sourcing and installing sanitary fixtures ourselves. The markup for upgrades at the wholesale supplier was reasonable, and we didn’t have to worry about anything.

However, the furniture comes from the carpenter. The two base cabinets (one under a single, and one under double washbasins) at the wholesaler cost over 7,000 EUR. We just laughed and then crossed that option out. They can easily be added later without any coordination.

Hello, I find the carpenter option very interesting. I don’t like the furniture I see in showrooms – how did you handle it? Is it done after the sanitary installation? Can a carpenter make custom furniture for all washbasins that is suitable for under-mount installation?

Our washbasins are wall-mounted, the joiner adjusts the countertop on site and installs the base cabinets underneath.
