Before our move, we already enjoyed having nesting birds in our small row house garden, including blackbirds, pigeons, and a dunnock. Today, in the wooded area at the back of the property, we saw a pair of kites settle on an old beech tree to nest, which we are very excited about. The birds are too far away for photos with my current camera equipment, and I don’t want to disturb them. I’m thinking of borrowing a large telephoto lens when the young birds hopefully arrive.
