Good day.
We have installed a Hansatwist concealed valve in our shower with a blue box.
Now, I would like to replace it with a concealed thermostat valve to reduce the noticeable temperature fluctuations caused by our cold water supply.

Is this possible without major work? Or is a different concealed valve body required for this?

Many thanks

That should work without any problems. For example, the "HansaHome" built-in thermostat.

Ok, so dismantle the access point part, and install a new access point thermostat top unit.

Is an in-wall shower thermostat recommended?
The additional cost compared to a standard model or retrofit is not insignificant.
The installation time should not be too long. However, the thermostat unit with an access point is quite expensive.
Does it really prevent temperature fluctuations when there is a slight drop in water pressure?
Can it also maintain relatively low temperatures effectively?
Thank you very much

I am not a professional and have not worked with the system before. All I can tell you is that the mentioned recessed (built-in) thermostat also fits into the "Blue-Box" (you can check this yourself with Hansa). I cannot say how easy or difficult the conversion will be due to lack of experience.

Unfortunately, I also cannot tell you how well the temperature control works with your system. You will need to try that out yourself. In general, it should work quite well with a reputable manufacturer like Hansa.
