ᐅ Is it mandatory for the home search profile to be completed by the main bank?

JPL9002Hello dear forum members,
This is my first post. If my question is not in the right section, please feel free to move or close it, and I will open it in the appropriate area.
My partner and I are currently considering purchasing an apartment. We found a very nice listing online and then sent a contact request asking for a viewing appointment. Today, we received an email from a bank (not our own bank) that apparently offers this apartment. They want us to fill out a six-page search profile and sign it to confirm that we will receive proposals from this bank until we find a property. The exact wording is: "This agreement is valid until the identification of an object and property and ends automatically with the mediation of a property and the contract signing."
However, we only wanted information about this one specific apartment and did not intend to enter into a contract or agreement right away. We are also inexperienced in purchasing land/apartments/houses, so maybe this is a normal procedure?
We have been thinking about buying a home or apartment for some time, but this is our first inquiry.
Is this always the standard process?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Sunny regards
